Sustainable Innovation

At Northeast Filter we understand the need for waste stream reduction and emissions control to protect our environment. We also believe that responsible environmental stewardship shouldn’t place an undue burden on your growth or profits. We promote innovative filtration and separation technologies for green project management to accomplish these goals including:

  • Vacuum Dehydration Systems – To recycle waste oil to like-new condition for re-use.
  • Hydrocarbon Recovery Systems – To collect valuable hydrocarbons from aqueous streams.
  • Oil Mist Eliminators – To protect the atmosphere from hazardous gearbox & crankcase emissions.
  • Coolant Recovery Systems – To recycle used machining coolants.
  • Electrostatic Precipitators – To extend service life of oxidized oils & system components.
  • UF Membrane Systems – For industrial wash water and waste water recovery.
  • Extractive Separation Systems - To separate dissolved contaminates for solvent regeneration.
  • Coolant Mist Collectors – To protect employees from hazardous machining coolant aerosols.
  • Carbon Filter Systems – For fatty acid removal to extend life of commercial food frying oils.
  • Cleanable Filter Elements – To reduce waste volume of disposable filter elements.
  • Jet Pulse Systems – For high value catalyst recovery.

In many cases, the value of the recovered fluids and/or extended component service life as a result of applying these technologies will pay for the investment. Talk to one of our sales professionals to see if we can assist you in meeting your sustainability goal

Filtration Optimization

Filtration Optimization

Filtration Optimization

As a strategic partner, our efforts to streamline filtration performance often start with various on-site and off-site fluids analysis and testing services to go beyond simply selling filters. In collaboration with our vendors, we use this value added tool to:

  • Assess current process conditions with plant surveys.
  • Analyze and autopsy filter media.
  • Evaluate alternate filtration for improved quality or life.
  • Measure and compare operational cost of filtration.
  • Characterize contamination profile.
  • Identify potential contamination sources.
  • Quantify contamination impact.
  • Monitor process variation.
  • Validate current and proposed filtration performance.
  • Establish fluids management programs to improve equipment reliability.

This analytical approach is usually the first step toward optimizing filtration performance in an effort to meet the application specific requirements for our strategic partners. It is also what sets us apart from other filter suppliers.

Filter Rentals & Demos

Filter Rentals and Demos

Filter Rentals, Demos & Pilot Trials

Analytical testing is an important first step on the path toward filtration optimization, however fluid analysis is only a very small sample size for most plant operations. Once data is collected and the results are evaluated, the next step is on-site demonstration or pilot trial of our proposed solution. We promote the use of rental filters to validate process improvement proposals. Northeast Filter maintains a fleet of rental filters for quick response to our customers. Our strategic channel partners also maintain rental filters to augment our capability. Some of the filters and systems available for rental and pilot trial include:

  • Bag Filter Vessels – for general liquid filtration service
  • Vertical & Horizontal Cartridge Filters – for general liquid filtration service
  • 5 – 10 GPM Portable Filter Systems - for oil filtration service.
  • Vertical Gas Coalescing Vessels – for aerosol separation from gas streams.
  • Liquid/Liquid Coalescers –for separating suspended liquid contaminates from liquid streams.
  • Hydrocarbon Recovery Systems - for separating hydrocarbons from water.
  • Extraction Separation Systems – for separating dissolved contaminates from liquid or gas streams.
  • Electrostatic Precipitator Systems – for removing varnish from oil.
  • UF Ceramic Membrane Systems – for separating oils from water.
  • Automatic Grooved Disc Backwash Filters – for water filtration service.
  • Lenticular Disc Filter Vessels – for high purity liquid filtration service.

These units are available to rent on a weekly or monthly basis for performance evaluation trial or to satisfy unplanned emergency filtration requirements. Bench scale units are typically available free of charge. Ask your sales representative or customer service contact for details on how you can acquire a unit for trial.
